INTRODUCTION

Hello, my name is Amanda Zito, I’ve been camping with my motorcycle for the last ten years. I got sick of eating canned soup at camp, and started the long process of working out how to make the meals that I make at home on the road starting in 2016.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Firstly, the recipes you’ll find in this book are designed to be single serving. It’s much easier to double a recipe for more people, than it is to try and figure out how you’re going to carry half a carton of cream to your next campsite.

The recipes are all field tested, and most of them can be made at camp on a single burner stove, without a cooler.
Another thing that was important to me as a long distance traveler, was to make as many of the recipes as possible with little to no prep needed at home. Which means 99% of the recipes have ingredient lists that you can just pop into a grocery store, buy what you need, head to camp and make it.

I look forward to sharing them with you!
Pre-Order Campaign Coming April 9th 2024.

In this one-of-a-kind camping cookbook, creator Amanda Zito introduces over 65 single-serving recipes that will redefine your idea of camp meals.

Whether you're solo traveling or sharing campfire stories with friends, these recipes are designed to be single-serving, that are easy to double or multiply for any group size. All the recipes are field-tested and can be made at camp on a single-burner stove, without the need for a cooler.

As a long-distance traveler, Amanda prioritizes ingredient lists that let you grab what you need from a well-stocked grocery store. Head straight to camp and whip up dinner - no prep work required at home. This makes the recipes ideal for extended adventures and spontaneous getaways, perfect for those who prefer to minimize pre-trip planning. The majority of the recipes use whole food ingredients, making them not only delicious but also easy on the wallet.

Beyond the recipes, the introduction is packed with beginner-friendly information, covering essential camp cooking gear like pots, pans, stoves, and water filters. This equips you with everything you need to get started whipping up delicious meals at camp.

Frequently Asked Questions

WILL YOU BE SHIPPING PHYSICAL BOOKS OUTSIDE THE US?

Unfortunately due to the Cost of Shipping, Physical Books will not be shipped internationally. There may be options in the future, but for the campaign, there will be no international shipping. HOWEVER! eBook Copies of the Book will be available for EVERYONE worldwide :)

What formats will the book be available in?

The Indiegogo Pre-Order Campaign will be for the Physical Books 6”x9” (US Only), and the eBook. The eBook will be PDF/A format, with linked navigation from the table of contents. (PDF/A just means it’s an archival PDF format, all PDF readers will be able to open it.)

The ePub version of the book will not be available during the pre-order campaign, but we hope to have that formatted and available in November 2024. We will be submitting it to the Kindle store, Nook, and we will also be selling the ePub file here in the shop for those who use third party readers.

WHY AN INDIEGOGO CAMPAIGN? WHY NOT JUST LAUNCH THE BOOK IN YOUR STORE?

The “secret” motivation behind this book is to use it as a fundraiser to raise money so my Brother and I can make our dream of riding motorcycles to Alaska in 2025 a reality. From my initial budget planning we will need minimum $8,000 to make this trip happen. That number is the amount we need, not the amount we need to raise to also print books, cover processing fees etc. We are both so grateful for any help in reaching this goal!

What is the best way to support the indiegogo campaign so you can raise funds to go to alaska in 2025?

Technically the BEST way to support the Indiegogo campaign is to buy the eBook (PDF). This has the least amount of fees involved for me, which means more money from an eBook (PDF) purchase will go towards my Brother and I’s trip to Alaska fund. But! If you’re in the US and would like a physical copy please get one :)

When will I get my book if I back the pre-order campaign?

eBook (PDF) copies will be sent out immediately after the campaign ends May 7th 2024. At latest you should have it in your inbox May 10th.

Physical copies of the book need to be ordered, printed, shipped to me, packaged by me then shipped to you. My estimates are: I will be ordering books May 8th. Printing will take around a month -as long as there are no issues. At the earliest I should receive the books the first week of July, and spend a solid week or so packaging them and sending them off to you! Actual ETA in your hands varies on your location in the US, but my optimistic timeline says you should have books in your hands at the beginning of August.

If that time line changes, I will keep you updated via email!

Will the book be available after the pre-order campaign is over?

Yes, however you will get the best price if you back the pre-order campaign.

eBook (PDF) copies of the book will be available in the shop May 10th onwards for $25.

I will have physical copies of the book available for purchase from me directly at a couple events this summer for $40 (Overland Expo West, MTN West, East and Touratech Rally West). Physical copies of the book will not be available in my shop, however I’m in discussions with some other retailers to make those available TBA.

The ePub version of the book we hope to have formatted and available in November 2024. We will be submitting it to the Kindle store, Nook, and we will also be selling the ePub file here in the shop for those who use third party readers. Cost TBA.

Are there vegetarian/vegan recipes in it? ARE there meat recipes?

There are Vegan Friendly, Vegetarian and Meat Recipes in the book. I would say the amount of Vegetarian Recipes outnumber all of the others but there is a small section for Chicken, Seafood and Pork & Beef, along with a whole section of Vegetarian.

Many of the Vegetarian recipes can very easily be made vegan by switching or leaving out 1-2 ingredients. Visa-versa it’s very easy to add an animal based protein of your choice to many of the Vegetarian recipes.
