WHAT IS THE FLIGHT SOUTH?
A solo 8,000 mile motorcycle trip through the Southern United States. Experiencing as many Scenic Byways and National Parks as I can smash into three weeks. The Goal? To explore another part of the US I have never experienced. There’s so much of our country that people don’t deem “interesting”. The parts no one thinks are worthy of talking about and those are the parts I think make up the “feeling” of a place. The only way to truly know the feeling of a place is to experience it myself. I may also have another motive. I’ll be attending the Forgotten Angels Campout in Tampa with Shadetree Surgeon to make him sleep in a tent.

Amanda Zito is a motorcyclist from Montana with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts. She’s been riding since 2012 and drawing since she was old enough to hold a crayon. This is not her first cross country trip, in 2020 she rode 8,000 miles in 24 days. You can see the whole series here.
