This bag holds everything I need to set up camp.
So, I only have to pull one bag off the bike to set up my house. The bag itself is a Wolfman Luggage Threadworks 22 Duffel.
This is also the bag that my hat travels on the back of the bike. I made this harness to keep it safe and I have an extra safety strap.
In the order that I would pull them out at camp first things first is my tent:
First is my Camp Shoes, I carry a pair of Xero shoes that pack flat. I used to carry sandals but I tend to use these more than I did the sandals. They're inside this little shoe bag from my friends at Tripped Travel Gear.
This is the EXPED Outer Space II Tent with the footprint. I love this tent because it has a giant vestibule, still debating if I'm taking this one or my Mira II that I took on my last cross country trip because it has a smaller footprint when set up.
Then we have my Gear Aid Hatchet, which I mostly use as a hammer, and a tent stake remover.
Next up is my Exped Seat Pad, this is the only "chair" I carry 90% of the time, because it doubles as my Knee pad while I'm getting in and out of the tent. I am thinking about carrying a camp chair again though because my BROTHER has started carrying one.
My most exciting upgrade for 2025 is the new Exped Megamat Ultra. It's like if the big car camping Megamat had a baby with the Dura 8R that I've been using for five years. Packsize is almost the same as my Dura8R and it is so comfortable. The stuff sack also doubles as the pump sack.
But I prefer to use the new Exped Ultra Pump which is also my tent lamp so I'm not filling my sleeping pad with moisture that could mold over time.
This is my Exped Comfort 15°F Sleeping Bag, that you can open the foot box and an arm hole so you can run around camp in it. Pretty sure I sold five of these at a campground in California when our neighbors saw me crawl out of my tent in it. lol
I'm a cold sleeper so the Exped Down Camp Booties are key to me regulating my body temperature when it's cold at night. Seriously life changing.
My preferred pillow is the Exped Mega Pillow which also has won some awards i believe. It's actually wide and tall enough that I don't have to stuff things under it to keep my neck straight while I sleep as a side sleeper.
I have a piece of Pashmina Cashmere from Nepal that I've been using as a Pillowcase because it's so soft.
I do carry the dry bag for my Sleeping bag incase I have to pack my tent while it's wet.
I carry a few wag bags for emergencies or if I camp someplace without a pit toilet and you can't dig a cat hole.
I also have a big Nomadix towel that I use more as a yoga mat or a tent floor when it's really cold. Just another level of insulation from the ground, or just generally to dry out the inside of my tent.
I also pack Exped Sand/Rock Bags if I have to set up my tent someplace where I can't get stakes in the ground.
Oh and I almost forgot this Gear Repair kit from Gear Aid that includes zipper lubricant and some gear patches.
