THE PILGRIMAGE: DAY 3 & 4

THE PILGRIMAGE: DAY 3 & 4

Left Rexford fairly early and rode the East side of Lake Koocanusa. It was overcast and a bit chilly, but everything was fine. I back tracked to Libby to get gas, before I hit Forest Service Road 763.

This little jaunt through the Kootenai National Forest between Libby and Olney was the best part of the day. It sprinkled on and off but for the most part I was distracted by some fun twisties and then some fun dirt (which btw is even more fun with proper tires ha!)  ....

THE PILGRIMAGE: DAY 1 & 2

THE PILGRIMAGE: DAY 1 & 2

Officially Day 1 of the Pilgrimage!

Easy 173 mi day, and went down Hwy 211 that turns into a very fun dirt road which features this view. Yes please. Despite the on and off sprinkles and a little chilly at 58*F, a successful first day with no issues from Lazarus, yay! … (as I huddle in blankets trying to feel my legs again at my Grandma’s house in Thompson Falls.) ......

THE TIME INBETWEEN: The Pilgrimage Prequel

THE TIME INBETWEEN: The Pilgrimage Prequel

The trip from Moab, Utah to the Bitterroot Valley to get Lazarus ready for the Pilgrimage.

I find a Missoula man in the middle of nowhere in Utah, I get lost then adopted by strangers, and Lazarus's stator decides it is it's time to die.

GEAR REVIEW: The ICON Airframe Pro

I’ve been lucky enough to partner with @iconmotosports for my Pilgrimageand they’ve sent me this amazing new helmet. The Airframe Pro, comes in many different color styles, the one pictured is the Aiframe Pro Halo in Green.

You know me, I can’t leave anything alone, so I’m repainting the helmet to reflect me a bit more. However! I thought that before I get my grubby little hands all over it, I’d give you a short breakdown over some of the features of this helmet!

The Pilgrimage: An Introduction

The Pilgrimage: An Introduction

It feels like I’ve been planning this trip for forever, but in reality it’s only been a year. Now that kickoff for this adventure is right around the corner  -a little over a month away now- I figured it was about time I sat down and addressed it directly.

The Pilgrimage is a solo, 3,800+ mile motorcycle trip to circumnavigate rural Montana.

HOW I FOUND MY FIRST TRUE RIDING BUDDY

HOW I FOUND MY FIRST TRUE RIDING BUDDY

Sometimes, the best trips are the ones where everything goes wrong.

When you ride straight into a rain storm, get lost, have battery issues, drop a bike, and ride a hundred miles in the dark together, you're bound to bond a little. This is the tale of how Marissa become my first ever riding buddy.
